TTAP will be conducting a one hour training on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) assessment. This session is an overview of the AAC assessment process and will provide simple strategies to consider when determining the best generative AAC system to maximize the individual's communication potential. This program has been approved for 1 clock hour of continuing education credit by the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA). TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.  As a result of this presentation the participants will be able to: (a) Describe the AAC assessment process, (b) List team members needed for the AAC assessment, and (c) Specify critical features of the consideration process.
